A ‑ ACKNOWLEDGE SELF AS SINNER

Ro.3:23 - For EVERYONE HAS SINNED; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

Jas.2:10 - For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws

Ro.3:10‑12 - As the Scriptures say, “NO ONE IS RIGHTEOUS—not even one. 11. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. 12. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.”

John 3:3 - Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, UNLESS YOU ARE BORN AGAIN, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

Acts 4:12 – THERE IS SALVATION IN NO ONE ELSE! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

B ‑ BELIEVE IN CHRIST AND REPENT

Heb.11:6 - And it is IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD WITHOUT FAITH. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

Ro.10:17 - So FAITH COMES FROM HEARING, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.

Jo.3:16 - “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM will not perish but have eternal life.

Jo.20:31 -  But these are written so that you may continue to BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE MESSIAH, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.

Acts 16:31 - They replied, “BELIEVE IN THE LORD JESUS and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”

Acts 10:43 - He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM will have their sins forgiven through his name.”

Luke 5:32 - I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and NEED TO REPENT.”

Luke 13:3 - Not at all! And you will perish, too, unless you REPENT OF YOUR SINS and turn to God.

Ro.2:4 - Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to TURN YOU FROM YOUR SIN?

C ‑ CONFESS CHRIST AS SAVIOUR

Ro.10:9-10 - If you CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

1 Jo.4:15 – ALL WHO CONFESS that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.

Acts 19:18 - Many who became believers CONFESSED their sinful practices.

1 Jo.1:9 - But if we CONFESS OUR SINS to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

1. NOT NOW ‑SOME OTHER TIME

2 Cor.6:2 - For God says,” At just the right time, I heard you. ---Indeed, the “right time” is now. TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION.

Lu.12:19-20-And I’ll sit back and say to myself, “My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!”’ 20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! YOU WILL DIE THIS VERY NIGHT. Then who will get everything you worked for?’

2. I AM TOO GREAT A SINNER

Lu.19:10 - For the Son of Man came to SEEK and SAVE those who are LOST.

1 Tim.1:15 - This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I AM THE WORST OF THEM ALL.

3. I AM DOING THE BEST I CAN

Ro.3:19-20 - Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its PURPOSE IS TO KEEP PEOPLE FROM HAVING EXCUSES, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God. 20 For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.

Gal.2:16 - Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. FOR NO ONE WILL EVER BE MADE RIGHT WITH GOD BY OBEYING THE LAW.”

4. AFRAID I CAN'T HOLD OUT

Jud.24 - Now all glory to God, who is able to KEEP YOU FROM FALLING away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.

2 Ti.1:12 That is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that HE IS ABLE TO GUARD WHAT I HAVE ENTRUSTED to him until the day of his return.

Jo.10:27‑29 - My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. NO ONE CAN SNATCH THEM AWAY FROM ME, 29. for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.

Gal.2:20 - My old self has been crucified with Christ. IT IS NO LONGER I WHO LIVE, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

5. TOO MANY HYPOCRITES IN THE CHURCH

Ro.14:12  - Yes, EACH OF US WILL GIVE A PERSONAL ACCOUNT TO GOD.

Col.3:25 - But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. FOR GOD HAS NO FAVORITES.

Jo.21:22 - Jesus replied, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, WHAT IS THAT TO YOU? As for you, follow me.”

6. I AM A CHURCH MEMBER

Jo.3:3 - Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, UNLESS YOU ARE BORN AGAIN, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.

Eph.2:8-9 ‑ God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9. SALVATION IS NOT A REWARD for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it

Tit.1:16 Such people CLAIM THEY KNOW GOD BUT THEY DENY HIM BY THE WAY THEY LIVE. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good

Mat.7:21‑23 - “NOT EVERYONE WHO CALLS OUT TO ME ‘LORD! ‘LORD! will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.

7. COMMITTED UNPARDONABLE SIN

Jo.6:37 - However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.

Ro.10:13 - For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Jo.6:40, 47 - For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.”  47. “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes has eternal life.

8. BELIEVE I AM GOOD ENOUGH

Jo.3:3 - Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”  4.  “What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” 5. Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.

Jo.3:18 - “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

Ro.3:22-23 - We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.  23. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

9. GOD WILL NOT CONDEMN ANYONE

Lu.13:3 - Not at all! And you will perish, too, unless you repent of your sins and turn to God.

Jo.3:36 - And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.”

Jo.3:18 - “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

10. CANNOT FORGIVE OTHERS

Mat.6:15 - But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

1 Jo.4: If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?  

Phi.4:13 - For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

11. ANOTHER CHANCE AFTER DEATH

He.9:27 - And just as each person is des-tined to die once and after that comes judgment,

2 Cor.6:2 - For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you. ”Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.

 He.2:3 - So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard him speak?

12. BELIEVE EVERYBODY WILL BE SAVED

Mar.16:16  Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

Mat.25:41 “Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons

1 Cor.6:9- Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.

13. CANNOT PAY THE PRICE

Mar.8:36 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?

Jas.4:4 You adulterers!  Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.

1 Jo.2:15‑17 - Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

Ro.12:2 - Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
