1. Peaceful Relations with Others

Psalms 34:14 Turn away from evil and do good.
Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

Psalms 133:1 How wonderful and pleasant it is
when brothers live together in harmony!

Romans 12:18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.

2. Promoters of Peace

Genesis 13:8 Finally Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not allow this conflict to come between us or our herdsmen. After all, we are close relatives!

Proverbs 12:20 Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil;
joy fills hearts that are planning peace!

Matthew 5:9 God blesses those who work for peace,
for they will be called the children of God.

James 3:18 And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.

3. Promise of Universal Peace

Isaiah 2:4 The Lord will mediate between nations and will settle international disputes.
They will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will no longer fight against nation, nor train for war anymore.

4. The Peace Imparted by Christ

a. THE PRINCE OF PEACE - Isaiah 9:6-7 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!

b. THE GOSPEL OF PEACE - Romans 10:15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

c. THE BELIEVER PEACE - John 14:27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Philippians 4:7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
