1. Meditation on God and
His Law
Psalms 63:6 I lie
awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night.
Psalms 1:2 But they
delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.
2. Enjoined and Encouraged
1 Timothy 4:13 Until I
get there, focus on reading the Scriptures to the church, encouraging the
believers, and teaching them.
1 Timothy 4:15 Give
your complete attention to these matters. Throw yourself into your tasks so
that everyone will see your progress.
3. The Preciousness of
Such Meditation
Psalms 104:34 May all
my thoughts be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the Lord.
Psalms 139:17-18 How
precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be
numbered!
18 I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And
when I wake up, you are still with me!
4. Divinely Acceptable
Psalms 19:14 May the
words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to
you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

Action & Success
Joshua 1:8 Study this
Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be
sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed
in all you do.
