1. The Kindness that
Forgives
Ephesians 4:32
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as
God through Christ has forgiven you.
2. The Kindness that Helps
Acts 20:35 And I have
been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You
should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give
than to receive.’”
Galatians 6:10
Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to
everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.KINDNESS
3. Burden-Bearing Kindness
Galatians 6:1-2 Dear
brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who
are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right
path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation
yourself. 2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law
of Christ.
4. Kindness to Strangers
Leviticus 19:34 Treat
them like native-born Israelites, and love them as you love yourself. Remember
that you were once foreigners living in the land of Egypt.
I am the Lord your God.
Matthew 25:35 For I
was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a
stranger, and you invited me into your home.
5. Disinterested Kindness
Luke 6:33-34 And if
you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even
sinners do that much! 34 And if you lend money only to those who can
repay you, why should you get credit? Even sinners will lend to other sinners
for a full return.
6. Inspired by Love
Luke 6:35 “Love your
enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then
your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as
children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and
wicked.
2 Samuel 9:3 The king
then asked him, “Is anyone still alive from Saul’s family? If so, I want to
show God’s kindness to them.” Ziba replied, “Yes, one of Jonathan’s
sons is still alive. He is crippled in both feet.”
