1. The Prepared Home of
the Redeemed
John 14:2 There is
more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I
have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
Hebrews 4:9 So there
is a special rest still waiting for the people of God.
Hebrews 11:16 But they
were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland. That is why God is not
ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
2. The Number of the
Redeemed
Matthew 8:11 And I
tell you this, that many Gentiles will come from all over the world—from east
and west—and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast in the
Kingdom of Heaven.
Revelation 7:9 After
this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and
people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They
were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands.
3. Blessed State of the
Redeemed
a.
Exceeding Earthly Experiences – 1 Corinthians 2:9 That is what the Scriptures mean
when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has
imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
b.
Commonwealth of Believers - Philippians 3:20-21
But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are
eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. 21 He will take our
weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the
same power with which he will bring everything under his control.
c.
Pure and Immortal – 1 Peter 1:4 and we have a priceless inheritance—an
inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the
reach of change and decay.
d.
Seeing Face to Face - 1 Corinthians 13:12 Now we see things
imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect
clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will
know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
e.
The Song of the Redeemed - Revelation 14:3 This great choir sang a wonderful new
song in front of the throne of God and before the four living beings and the
twenty-four elders. No one could learn this song except the 144,000 who had
been redeemed from the earth.
Revelation 15:3 And
they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the
Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the
Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations.
f.
Like Christ, with Christ - 1 John 3:2 Dear friends, we are already God’s
children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears.
But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.
Revelation 3:21 Those
who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and
sat with my Father on his throne.
Revelation 22:4 And
they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads.
