1. The Divine Healer
Psalms 103:3 He
forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.
Mathew 4:23 Jesus
traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and
announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease
and illness.
2. Intercession of Moses for Miriam
Numbers 12:13 So Moses
cried out to the Lord, “O God, I beg you, please heal her!”
3. Power Given the Disciples
Luke 9:1-2 One day Jesus called together his twelve
disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to
heal all diseases. 2 Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the
Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
4. Faith, Prayer and the Use of Means
2 Kings 5:10 But
Elisha sent a messenger out to him with this message: “Go and wash yourself
seven times in the Jordan River. Then your
skin will be restored, and you will be healed of your leprosy.”
2 Kings 20:7 Then
Isaiah said, “Make an ointment from figs.” So Hezekiah’s servants spread the
ointment over the boil, and Hezekiah recovered!
James 5:14-15 Are any
of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over
you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 Such a prayer
offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if
you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.
