1. Well-Doing by Learning
Isaiah
1:17 Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the
oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of
widows.
2. Cultivation of Native
Endowments
1
Timothy 4:14 Do not neglect the spiritual gift you received through the
prophecy spoken over you when the elders of the church laid their hands on you.
3. The Spirit of Readiness
Titus
3:1 Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers.
They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good.
1
Peter 5:2 Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch
over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but
because you are eager to serve God.
Isaiah
6:8 Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to
this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”
4. Appreciation of Values
Philippians
4:8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts
on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.
Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
5. Self-Adjustment to a
Given End
1
Corinthians 9:20-22 When I was with the Jews, I lived like a Jew to bring
the Jews to Christ. When I was with those who follow the Jewish law, I too
lived under that law. Even though I am not subject to the law, I did this so I
could bring to Christ those who are under the law. 21When I am with the
Gentiles who do not follow the Jewish law, I too live apart from that law so
I can bring them to Christ. But I do not ignore the law of God; I obey the law
of Christ. 22 When I am with
those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to
Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can
to save some.
6. Capability Linked with
Fidelity
Matthew
25:20-21 The servant to whom he had entrusted the five bags of silver came
forward with five more and said, ‘Master, you gave me five bags of silver to
invest, and I have earned five more.’ 21 “The master was full of
praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in
handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities.
Let’s celebrate together!’
7. Ministerial Efficiency
2
Timothy 2:15 Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his
approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who
correctly explains the word of truth.
8. Efficiency Tested by Fruitfulness
John
15:8 When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings
great glory to my Father.
Colossians
1:10 Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your
lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as
you learn to know God better and better.
9. An All-Embracing
Efficiency
Philippians
4:13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
